I met Daniel through my kids, they gamed together. Dan was a good friend to my oldest son and was there for him. From karaoke to long philosophical conversations on everything from religion, jokes, politics to the meaning of life I found there was much more then one realized within his heart and mind. I do have one of those many crosses and now will always cherish this remembering this smar young man with a brilliant smile and heart of gold. And everytime I hear the song "Oh Danny boy" , a tear shall fall..my heart and prayers to his Mother and family....
Danny, you will be missed. Our hearts are breaking, knowing you were taken way too soon. We'll always remember your big hugs, kindness and generosity. We enjoyed visits with you when you came to our campground near Portage, making memories. All those late night talks around the campfire. We'll miss hearing your voice when you would call us "just to check in". Sometimes those conversations got lengthy. We have fond memories of you and Sean as little tikes. We'd babysit and take you camping, you were our "practice children" before we had kids of our own. We love you Danny, always will. We'll see you again someday in heaven.

Dan rest in peace. I will always remember your kindness and that smile you kept on your face at work. " Dan The Man" RIP
I last saw Dan back in my high school years, yet I still vividly remember him as a friendly and caring guy with a fantastic voice. I am truly saddened to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to his family & friends. I know he will be very much missed.
You always had a smile on your face and made sure to say Hi to me every morning as we met heading into/away from work. You will be greatly missed! May you fly high in heaven and until we meet again!
I will miss u. when I first met you a best friend of my son, so much laughter, beautiful soul. you stayed wih my family for awhile. when u saw me your eyes would light up give me the best hug and call me "mom" your laughter, silly jokes and the beautiful soul you have (to me his soul is wih god") I know you will always be here just in another way...
Daniel used to come into lr's when he lived in Rio. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. He would play the jukebox and sit at a table by himself just enjoying his music! Hope he is singing tonight! Prayers RIP
Met Dan at Karaoke, loved his singing but my favorite song was Just a Gigolo, That man could really belt that song out!! He would also come into our shop and buy little religious trinkets and hand them out to people. He would also buy crosses and hand them out. He always seemed lonely. We enjoyed talking to him. Dan had a heart of gold. RIP Dan, will miss you. Phil and Vicky Elsing
We are shocked as well - from 2012 to 2015 (approx.) Dan would frequently come into our store to buy simple cross necklaces. He gave them away in the bars. Once we heard his story and of his "Bar Ministry", we gave him great deals (half price) so he could give out more. He probably gave out 100 crosses. We pray that his soul, often troubled by alcohol on this earth, is now at peace and in the comfort and care of his creator in heaven. We pray if any of those cross necklaces are still in circulation, that the wearer dearly remembers their friend Daniel. Ed & Becky Guzman, Diakonos Designs
I am speechless . I have not seen Dan in a while but I sang many duets with this gentleman in Stoughton. Hoping his amazing voice carries him into the arms of the heavenly angels as he watches down on us. RIP fella.
My heart breaks that Dan is no longer with us. His goofy sense of humor and big heart are the things I will always remember about Dan. I will always cherish the time I spent with him. May the Ggod Lord give his family the strength to heal. - Angie Schwenn
Dan would stop into Stoughton Floral and say hi to everyone quiet often when he was living in downtown Stoughton. The very first time I met him 7 years ago, he gave me the nickname Tennessee. For years everytime I saw Dan, he would say,
“Hey Tennessee! You’re The Only 10 I See.” We would all just laugh. He had an infectious smile and a heart of gold. Dan will always be remember and truly missed.
I didn’t know him well, but I remember his infectious smile and undiscerning friendliness in high school. Rest in peace, Dan.
I knew Dan in high school. What I remember most about him is his buoyant spirit and smile. He was friendly to everyone. Thinking of your family during this time.
