Elizabeth “Betty” Hellenbrand, age 84, of Middleton/ Ashton passed away on Wed., April 1, 2026 in Middleton. She was born on March 7, 1942 to Christian and Margaret (Laufenberg) Statz. She married Vincent Hellenbrand on Oct. 4, 1960 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Martinsville. She was employed by Ultra Tech for many years, where she was the stock room inspector.
Betty enjoyed her retirement and delighted in taking vacations with family and friends, gambling trips, playing cards, and watching the Brewers, Packers and Badgers. She especially loved going out to eat once her kitchen didn’t work anymore!
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Vince; daughters, Deb Hellenbrand and Doreen Jackson, Dorothy Ripp, Amy (Warren) Jungbluth and Angie (Bob) Hellenbrand; her grandchildren, Ashley Ripp, Mindy (Mike) Romine, Kristin (Sean) Hertz, Kyle Jungbluth, Lindsay (Nick) Tjugum and Rachel (Ben) Maier; great-grandchildren, Autumn Vyse, Kaden and Quinn Hertz, Liam Tjugum and Isla Maier; siblings, Bill (Kathy) Statz, Mike (Laurie) Statz and Mary (George) Gatti; her sister-in-law, Teresa Statz: and many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Chris Statz; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Laura and Clemens Hellenbrand; brothers, James and Ray Statz; sons-in-law, Kurt Jackson and Doug Ripp; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Marcy (Harley) Marks, Bernie (Albert)Endres, Sy (Violet) Hellenbrand, Albert “Pope” Hellenbrand, Ed (Rosie) Hellenbrand, Fran (Pat) Wagner, Rosetta (Sam)Taylor, Rosalia (Charlie) Ruhland, Rita (Bill) Heimbecker and Mary (Ed) Seiler.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St Peter’s Catholic Church 7121 County Trunk K, Middleton. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
