Dolores A. Witt, age 96, of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026.

Per Dee’s request there will be no services.

Dee was born in Cassville, Wisconsin on July 6, 1929. She was the second oldest of 11 children and dearly loved her brothers and sisters. Dee met the love of her life, a young handsome man in his dress Navy blues, Kenneth Witt. They married when she was 17 years old and had three children. She is survived by her children, Kevin Witt (Kathy), Robin Elding (Kent) and her daughter-in-law Karen Witt (Scott). She is also survived by her grandchildren Korene, Ken, DeeAnn, Kris, Megan, Jodi, Jamie, Rob, Paige, Brooke, Tim, Parker, Blake, Clark and 19 great grandchildren. Dee is also survived by her little sister Marva Kay and brothers Jimmy, John and Donald.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Ken, her son, Scott, her parents, Virgil and Dorothy Schnering, her sisters, Blondie Biefer, Ruth Ladislas, Linda Schnering, and Janett Bell; she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Warren and Dennis Schnering.

Dee will be remembered for her love of family and many friends, but had a special place in her heart for her dear friends Francine Hemhauer and Bob Powers. She loved life and was very much a character who enjoyed shocking people with her humor.

A huge thank you to the staff at Sylvan Crossings who provided such loving and wonderful care to Dee and to Bristol Hospice (esp. Dennis) for their care and, last but not least, to her beloved Danielle at MyChoice. You are angels on this earth…Love you all!!
