Shawn K. Slotten, 69, of Marshall, WI passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg.

Shawn was born on October 30, 1956 in Chicago to Gordon King and Charlotte (Sweeney). Some of her favorite childhood memories were summer trips to Wisconsin lakes with her late brother, Roger.

She attended Luther High School North and went on to study at Loyola University of Chicago. Shawn built a meaningful and accomplished career at Meriter Hospital, where she served as a medical staff administrator until her retirement.

Shawn had a deep love for animals. Her cat, Tula, held a special place in her heart, along with her beloved grand-dogs, Tilly and Angel. Above all, she cherished time spent with her grandchildren.

Shawn is survived by her husband of 47 years, David; her daughters, Angela (John) Handlen and Ashley (Mike) Pritchett; and her 7 grandchildren, Chloe (21), Tucker (18), Gracie (15), Haidyn (15), Dylan (10), Cullen (8), Mira (6). She is also survived by her stepmother, Carol King

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 30, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., prior to the service.
