Sun Prairie - Ryan Ganahl, age 40, passed away in his sleep on Monday July 1, 2019. He was welcomed into heaven by his mother Laurie Geist both grandfathers Bob Ganahl and Jack Geist, and paternal grandmother Naydene Ganahl. Ryan is survived by his father John Ganahl and step-mother Rae Kaiser; brother Matt; sister-in-law Jen; and nephews Jackson and Alex Ganahl; maternal grandmother Shirley Geist, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family, which includes almost everyone Ryan ever met.

Ryan was born October 12, 1978. He lived life large, laughed loud and long and shared his infectious smile without condition. It was his nature to help whenever and wherever a friend was in need without question or hesitation.

Ryan's laugh will forever echo in the large hole he leaves in our hearts.

Ryan was truly the Man for All Seasons. He was a joy to work with and we worked several open to close shifts at Circuit City. He took care of customers and always looked for ways to work with his fellow workers. It was a sad day when he chose to leave Circuit City. He wore his heart on his sleeve and always showed a Big Heart with everyone that came on contact with him. The Man and The Legend will live on in the hearts he left behind too soon! Rest in Peace!

Ryan and I had met in the early 2000s when we worked together at American TV. It did not take long for us to strike up a friendship that went beyond work. We had a lot in common, our love of fun and WI sports to name a couple.

As time passed, and we no longer worked together, we still stayed in touch and hung out frequently. When my wife and I had children, he always took a vested interest in knowing how they were doing & it was always from the heart.

He was a great guy, always had a smile on his face and was interested in making you laugh. I will miss him dearly, he was one of the good guys for sure.

I know life is not fair, but this is a classic example of someone leaving well before their time. I will continue to honor him through my memories that I will always cherish.

In Ryan's famous words, "Hey Buddy!" Words that I will never hear again, but nor will I ever forget. You will be missed buddy.

Wow, do I remember like yesterday his laughter, lead jokes and humorous stories while we worked together at Ken's Meat and Deli in Monona. Sundays were best cause his beloved support for them Green Bay Packers could roust up a friendly conversation with a wager on the score, usually I lost but always wanted to hear his colorful analysis of those football games, I betcha that's why he was embraced by his Mother's Love she wanted company to enjoy the upcoming season. Cheers to our beloved Ryan, I am proud of your accomplishments and glad to have shared time, memories with you!!
