Stephen "Al" Linderud

Stephen D. "Al" Linderud, age 69, lifelong resident of Stoughton, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Steve was well known for being a hard worker. He held positions at Uniroyal, Dairy Equipment, and Stoughton Trailers. Steve loved sports and the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Steve enjoyed playing softball, golf, pool, darts, and many other activities. Steve loved life and enjoyed having a good time with friends and family. He especially loved spending time with his great nieces and nephews. Steve had an awesome sense of humor and always left you with a smile.

Steve is survived by his siblings, Dorothy (Mark) Bechel, David (Cathy) Linderud, Nancy Linderud, and Corinne Linderud; nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Clarice Linderud.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home in Stoughton. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon following the burial. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the funeral home and from 10:00 AM until the time of services Saturday.
