She was born in Baker, Montana on January 13, 1926, the daughter of Byron and Gladys Hubbard. Marge graduated from Oregon High School in 1944. On July 31, 1946 she married Walter Hoffman and together they raised four children. They enjoyed spending time with family especially their grandchildren, dancing, and playing cards with friends. They were active members of Stoughton United Methodist Church. After Wally's death in 1992 Marge was lucky to find a companion in Russell Hyatt. They were married in 1994. Together they enjoyed traveling, square dancing, and building their country home. Following Russ's death Marge moved to The Rosewood Apartments and enjoyed being active with many friends. Her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marge is survived by four children, Judy (Ron) Jabs, John (Nancy) Hoffman, Jackie (Tom Amacher) Hoffman, and Jenny (Fred) Kirchenwitz; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Dawn) Jabs and their daughter Taylor, Dustin (Amanda) Jabs, Katie (Aaron) Guspiel, Matt Hoffman, Martin Amacher, Abby (Eric Zink) Kirchenwitz, and Nate (Morgan) Kirchenwitz; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; five sisters; and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 16, 2017 at Stoughton United Methodist Church, 535 Lincoln Avenue, Stoughton, with Rev. Catherine Christman officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following the services, in the church fellowship hall. Private burial will take place in Cooksville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of services Monday at church. Memorials may be made in Marge's name to the charity of the donor's choice. A special thank you to the staff of Stoughton Hospital for their care and support. Please share your memories of Marjorie.

Karen Kaminsky on Jan 17, 2017

I was so sorry to learn of Marge's passing. As a young teacher at Yahara School, I admired her positive attitude and friendly demeanor. I always thought that I would like to be like Marge "when I grew up." What a lady, what a kind soul. With sympathy, Karen Kaminsky

PATRICIA (MORGAN) LEONARD on Jan 16, 2017

MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO ALL OF MARGE'S CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. YOUR MOTHER, MARGE, AS WE ALL CALLED HER IN THE GRAND SQUARES CLUB WAS A WONDERFUL PESON. SHE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE ON HER FACE AND WAS A "DANCER". I REMEMBER HER DANCING THE DOUBLE HOP POLKA WITH BOB OUR ROUND DANCE CALLER. THEY MADE IT LOOK SO EASY. I TRIED IT BUT NO WAY COULD I GET THAT EXTRA HOP IN IT. BOTH WALLY AND RUSS WILL BE WAITING FOR HER AND SHE WILL BE WELCOMED WITH OPEN ARMS. GOD BE WITH YOU MARGE! PAT (MORGAN) LEONARD (FRIEND FROM GRAND SQUARES CLUB)

It was an honor and privilege to know Marge. We had many wonderful years at Yahara! And we had great times at TIGER and Thursday lunches! She loved talking abut her kids and grandkids! It is good to know that she is playing cards and dancing with Wally and Russ in heaven. She was loved and will be truly missed.

Mary Olson on Jan 15, 2017

We have such wonderful memories of Marge and both of her husbands. We square danced with them. Marge could be ready to go dancing anytime. She was the classroom assistant for both of our children at Yahara school. Sorry we will not to attend her funeral. Mary and David Olson

Hello my name is Heidi Smith. I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. My mother was Ruth Hoffman and I'm trying to find family. I know that you are related to me. I don't know how else to find anyone, so I thought I would try here. I would appreciate if someone please call me 770-733-8918. I was actually looking up your mother's name on the day that she passed. I pray that Jesus comforts you all. Hope to hear from you soon. Heidi
