The Cress Family has provided our community with the best quality staff, facilities and equipment possible. In 1980 we built a funeral home and crematory specifically to provide quality and unique cremation services to our families. If not the first funeral home in Wisconsin to own and operate our own crematory, we were the first to have it as part of the funeral home itself. For our families convenience, we now have two cremation centers; the only funeral service in Wisconsin to own and operate two centers.

Our crematories are not in garages or in warehouses, but are located adjacent to our chapels and community rooms; we have a sofa and chairs in the crematory and a community area where families may enjoy refreshments and fellowship following the cremation ceremonies. Not all families desire to be present for any part of the cremation process, but for those that do, we felt it was important to provide dignified and comfortable facilities. At Cress Funeral Service we welcome tours, inspections, and participation at any level that is meaningful to you.

Cress Funeral Service is a member of the Cremation Association of North America (CANA) (Founded in 1913, the Cremation Association of North America is an International organization of over 1500 members, composed of cemeterians, cremationists, funeral directors, industry suppliers and consultants. CANA members believe that cremation is preparation for Memorialization. We are the only funeral home in this area to belong to and participate in CANA’s Crematory Certification Program. Our crematories are managed and operated by Certified Cremationists and/or Licensed Funeral Directors. We are a state of the art facility and offer training and learning opportunities for many crematories in the state. You and your family can trust our processes and procedures. Everything is done ethically and in a dignified manor. We use a vacuum process to collect the cremated remains so you can be assured that all available remains are returned to you and your family in the container you selected.
