William Jacobson

William D. Jacobson, age 85, of Madison passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at his home. He was born on December 5, 1935 in Madison, WI, the son of Irving and Minnie Jacobson. He married Lin Grant on July 14, 1979 in Mt. Vernon, WI. Bill graduated from Madison West High School and attended Parks College (E. St. Louis) and UW-Whitewater. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Bill enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, jet skiing, traveling, the beach, sunshine, watching the sunset, photography, a passion for cars, music and doing his soft-shoe routine. He was truly dedicated to listening to Rush Limbaugh between 11:00am and 2:00pm daily on the radio and now has unlimited access to Rush. He is survived by his loving wife Lin, daughters Jodi (David), Dana, Brande and Tianna (Oscar); son Bradley; 7 grandchildren Nicole (Ronny), Nate (Cortney) Jacob, Parker, Landon, Skylar, Lineli and baby boy on the way; brothers Dick, Duane (Lois) and Ron (Nancy), sisters-in-law Cecelia and Carol. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Bobby, Irving Jr., Gary and Don. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 11th at 11:00am at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road in Madison. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Marquardt Home Health and Hospice, 1045 Hill Street, Watertown, WI 53098.
