Schmidt, Sylvia (Wolverton)

Middleton:  Sylvia Ann (Wolverton) Schmidt, age 89, passed away August 4, 2022.  She was the daughter of Fern (Miller) Wolverton, and Milton Morton Wolverton.  She was born in Mason City, Iowa.  However, it was in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where in the 8th grade, she met her future life partner and husband, Dr. Clemens S. Schmidt.  They were married for 68 years until his passing in December,  2020.

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, she dedicated her time to teaching at Edgewood College while working to put her husband thru medical school and raise her family.

Sylvia was a devoted wife, wonderful mom, great sister and daughter, and certainly a great friend to many.

Good bye mom.  We will miss you.
