Stella Marie Weisensel, born April 23, 1925 to Frank and Edith (Popp) Meitner in the town of Emmett, Dodge County.

Stella went to St. Henrys Catholic School, Emmett Public School and then Watertown High School for 1 year. At age 16 she started working outside the home, including babysitting and the canning company. Stella held numerous jobs throughout her life.

Stella married Sylvester Weisensel September 24, 1946 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, Watertown Wisconsin. Sylvester and Stella moved to a farm on Highway 151. For 9 years they farmed, Sylvester bought the East Bristol Mill and built a house in East Bristol. They moved in September of 1956.

She was a woman of strong faith and the rosary was very dear to her. She taught CCD, sang in the choir and was a member of National Catholic Order of Foresters and Christian Mothers.

Stella was very creative in other ways, she took sewing classes and made wedding dresses for many brides. She made afghans and taught her daughters how to embroider. She painted with artex and did needlepoint. She also stained and finished dad’s creations.

Stella loved music of all types, played the organ and enjoyed dancing. She showed her appreciation by making cookies and pies for those that helped her with chores. Later in life Stella enjoyed coloring and reading Amish stories (thanks Justin).

Stella was a homemaker raising 8 children. She is survived by her children, 2 daughters Donna (Ron) Haarklau, Judith (Thomas) Janczak. 6 sons, Glenn (Jean) Weisensel, Robert (Vickie) Weisensel, Claude (Vikki) Weisensel, Mike (Kim) Weisensel, Paul (Susan) Weisensel, Sylvester Jr. (Cindy) Weisensel. One sister Eileen Kaun and sister-in-law Virginia Meitner. Stella is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
