Patricia E. Wittenburg, age 79, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, April 1, 2021. She was born on November 27, 1941 in Madison, daughter to Daniel and Nettie (Stark) Herrick. Patricia was united in marriage to Douglas A. Cleven on June 3, 1961 at Burke Lutheran Church. Together they were married 22 years and raised four children. They later divorced but remained good friends. On October 1, 1992, she married D. Rick Wittenburg, they were married 21 years before his passing on October 18, 2013.

Patricia graduated from Deforest High School and then later worked for MA Bell where she retired after 35 years of service. She was always reinventing herself thru photography and creating beautiful floral gardens. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, kind heart, generosity and intense love for her children. Patricia was an avid bird watcher. She loved dancing, music and traveling with her family.

She is survived by her daughters Tina Weger, Kelly Jo Friedli, Nicole (Scott) Cleven- Mulcahy; grandchildren Christopher and Alexander Weger, Shey Mitchell, Paige Friedli, Michael, Thomas and Caelin Mulcahy; 4 great- grandchildren; former spouse and friend Douglas Cleven. She also leaves behind 8 siblings and several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her son Michael James Cleven, husband D. Rick Wittenburg; two brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at the funeral home.
