Lee Troz

May 7, 1995 — February 23, 2020

Lee Troz, son, brother, nephew, uncle, friend, artist, and musician, died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 23 in Madison, WI at the age of 24.  He was born on May 7, 1995 in Madison, WI. He lived life passionately, cared deeply about his friends and family, and he will be missed by many.

Lee was a graduate from the Sun Prairie Area School District, which is where his love for art and music first began.  When it came to his artwork, Lee had a unique ability to create exceptionally detailed artwork using nothing more than simple pen and paper. He also had numerous pieces published in the UW Illumination Journal.  Lee’s artwork was displayed for the Art of the Wisconsin BBA Student Art Exhibition where it was showcased for all to enjoy.

Lee began his music career by playing the clarinet in middle school band. He went on to learn the alto saxophone, baritone saxophone, and guitar. He joined the jazz band and earned the privilege to play at the Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition and Festival in New York City. Lee’s passion for music continued beyond the classroom. Together with a friend, they wrote and recorded an entirely original CD entitled “Candid For Cadence”.

It was during his time at University of Wisconsin-Madison that Lee first earned a degree of Bachelor of Business Administration.  He would go on to earn his degree of Master of Accountancy and passed all CPA exams the first time taken. He was proud of earning money during college working for the Public Broadcasting System by going door-to-door to raise funds for the organization. It was during this time that Lee learned his hidden talent of being a good salesman.  His wonderful smile, stylish appearance, and keen sense of humor were enjoyed by all who met him. After graduation, Lee’s strong work ethic and dedication earned him a position as an assurance associate with the accounting firm BDO.

Lee’s death was a surprise to those close to him.  He will be deeply missed by those he left behind including his parents Gary and Jane, his brother and sister-in-law Sam and Jess, his baby niece Natalie, his Grandpa John Barger, his dedicated friends, and numerous loving cousins, aunts, and uncles.  Lee has joined those who preceded him in death, his paternal grandparents John and Helen Troz and his maternal grandmother Jeanne Barger.
