Harley Aldrich

August 3, 1995 — September 25, 2021

Aldrich, Harley Warren

Madison - Harley Warren Aldrich, age 26, of Madison, was taken from us too soon on September 25, 2021. Harley spent an enjoyable last day on Earth with his friends.

Harley loved Summer, skate boarding and spending time up North with his Grandparents. His favorite pastime was listening to music and attending music concerts. He was a self taught bass guitarist and enjoyed mixing music, installing stereo systems and turning up the bass!

Harley had a passion for classic cars and spent Tuesday evenings at ‘Garage Night’ restoring a '72 GTO with his Uncle Scott. He was an avid Packer fan and attended his first Packer Game this season.

Harley loved his playful times with the family dog Maliky (Mal) and spending time alone drawing.

Like his father and grandfather, Harley became adept at the family trade of woodworking. He worked as an independent contractor and early on in his career with Hodson Construction. He attended Middleton High School.

Harley’s greatest endeavor was his heartfelt contribution as a Water Protecter at the Standing Rock Indian Reservation in South Dakota with friends Colleene and Jessica.

He may very well have been the kindest, most generous person to ever walk among us. Harley always had time to help a friend, a stranger or a family member in need at a moments notice. He cared about his family and friends in a way you can only hope someone cares about you. It has been truly apparent in recent days how many lives he touched in his brief 26 years.

Harley will be forever loved and dearly missed by his parents William Edward Aldrich and Jeanette Malo Aldrich; sister Stephanie Niki (Michael) Buskil; brothers Charles, Neil and Eric Werner; grandparents Bill and Helen Aldrich, Julia Denman, Sharon Googins; Steve and Rita Taylor.  Aunts and Uncles Theresa Aldrich Googins, Scott Googins, Dianné Jean Aldrich, Rich Stanek, Robert Opsal, Casey and Roxane Schultz; and his cousins who were like sisters and brother to him, Kyra Googins, Amber Googins and Tierney Aldrich-Stanek.  Harley was preceded in death by Scott Googins, Julia Denman and Rita Taylor.

A celebration of Harley’s life will be held from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave., Madison, WI  53705.  A memorial service will follow at 5:00 pm.
