He was born to parents Henry and Fern Sheskey on Feb 5th, 1932, in Columbus, WI. He was the successful co-owner and co-founder of Lake City Glass in Madison, WI. Dad was known as an extremely hard worker, a trait learned from his parents, passed down to his children. When he retired in 1980, his son continued to build upon the dream started by his father. Gerald was an avid bowler, snowmobiler, and fisherman. but his most treasured hobby was hunting whitetail deer. He spent many years at his lake home which he built near Minocqua, WI. Eight years ago, at the age of 82, he built his dream house on 40 acres of wooded hunting land, his own personal paradise. He enjoyed clearing trails, building tree houses and ground blinds. Nothing brought him more peace than seeing turkeys and deer. Gerald is survived by his son Mark (Sherry) his daughter Sherry Wunderlin. He is also survived by his grandson Justin Faust (Ashley), his step grandchildren Calvin Meece, Adam Meece, Adam Wunderlin and Jesse Wunderlin. He is also survived by many wonderful great grandchildren. Our father is an amazing man, who gave us an amazing life, many treasured memories and character traits which will be passed on for generations. While we miss him daily and love him so very much, we know he is now at peace. We also want to thank the nurses and doctors at Aspirus Hospital in Portage for all their support and kindness.
