Earl V. Weisensel, age 80, passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, after a long three-year battle with health issues. He was born December 24, 1940, in Columbus, son of Le Roy and Evelyn Traver (Gugel) Weisensel.

Earl worked for the University of Wisconsin- Madison, as a security officer for 40 years. He enjoyed his time as a hunter safety instructor and enjoyed teaching trapper’s education. His favorite pastime was the outdoors.

He is survived by his children; Wendy Arringdale, Tonya Weisensel and Tamra Weisensel; grandchildren Cassandra, Patricia, Timothy and Mitchell; 4 great- granddaughters, and leaves behind extended family members. He was preceded in death by his siblings Edwin, LeRoy and Bonita Weisensel.

A memorial gathering will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
