She was the oldest daughter of Erwin and Nina. Born on April 27, 1936, in Burlington, Wisconsin, Delores grew up in Slades Corners, Wisconsin. Faith played a significant role in Delores’ life. She was baptized, confirmed, and married in St. John’s Lutheran Church in Slades Corners. She and Nick were actively involved in their children’s sports activities and Band Boosters. Delores was also a wonderful Grandmother, making every visit, every holiday, and every occasion special. She especially enjoyed watching and cheering on her grandchildren in sports, music, and other school events. She entertained and welcomed many military families and friends to her home during her lifetime.

She enjoyed taking thousands of pictures to document every occasion, contributing to countless wonderful memories. She was an enthusiastic shopper, collector, brass rubber (an activity she learned and perfected in England) and was a generous and caring friend. After her children were older, she managed several small businesses all related to achieving good health.
