Clarence "Ray" Jacobson

COLUMBUS—Clarence “Raymond” Jacobson, age 84, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021.  He was born on May 21, 1937 in Madison to Clarence and Ruth (Javnaker) Jacobson.

Ray loved God and family; he was very active at West Koshkonong Church in Stoughton and Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Sun Prairie.  He enjoyed farming with his dad, mowing lawns, and playing baseball darts.  He took long bike rides.  He played bingo and crafted whenever he could at Columbus Health and Rehab.  Ray was a fan of polkas and country music.  He loved tractor pulls and NASCAR.  Ray never turned down a chance to watch his favorite show “Gunsmoke”.  One of his fondest memories was a hot air balloon ride he took with his sister.

Ray is survived by his siblings Bob (Pat) Jacobson and Bonnie (Mike Maerz) Michaelis; niece Karrie (Derek); nephews Doug (Kim), Greg (Connie), Dan, and Jeff (Sarah), and Keith (Donna); and many great-nieces, great-nephews, other relatives, and friends.  Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Keith, and his nephew Jeffrey. He will be dearly missed by his furry companions Sarah and Beanner.
