William Seeliger

May 24, 1932 — March 14, 2015

WAUNAKEE- William Bernard Seeliger died in his sleep, without fear or pain, on Saturday March 14, 2015.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Lois Seeliger (Hansohn); his two children Curt (Jana) and Karen, and two grandchildren Eilif and Kelsey. Family and friends are rich in memories of him, and he so enjoyed them.

His first job driving the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile began a long career with a central theme of driving around and relishing the day. He spent many enjoyable years with WTSO/WZEE making friends and visiting his clients. Not happy with retirement, he drove for Zimbrick Buick which allowed him to test drive dozens of new cars while also meeting new friends and finding a new favorite author.

He relaxed and laughed with friends as an avid golfer and rabid Packer fan, and Friday-night fish fries were sacrosanct. He loved Dixieland music. Next time you hear a big band rendition of "When the Saints Go Marching In"; you might recall this fine man and enjoy time with your friends. He told epic bedtime stories with stuffed animals and high pitched voices. And he simply loved his wife.

A gathering of family, friends, neighbors and co-workers will be held at REX'S INNKEEPER, 301 North Century Ave, Waunakee on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 10:00 am until 12 noon.

Ar dheis D go raibh a anam. "May his soul be on God's right side".
