William Robinson

William "Bill" J. Robinson died peacefully on Sunday afternoon November 22, 2015 from heart failure complications. He was surrounded by his family and dear friends. He was born in Summit, New Jersey on March 31, 1973 to William A. and Marygrace Robinson. He married Katherine Magnuson in 2003, and they had two daughters together, Abby (8) and Sarah (5).

Bill graduated from Connecticut College in 1995 and completed an MBA and JD at the University of Michigan in 2004. He practiced business law in Madison, WI. He was a devoted husband and father, and is survived by his wife, children, and his brother, Mike Robinson.

A memorial service will be held on Friday December 4, 2015 at St Andrew's Episcopal Church, 1833 Regent Street, Madison, Wisconsin at 2 pm. All are welcome to attend. A second memorial service will be held in August at Connecticut College in New London, CT.

As a final request, Bill asked that all gifts in his memory be directed to a prize fund that has been established in his name at Connecticut College. The award will be given to a graduating student in the Government Department who has overcome obstacles to their academic achievement. He deeply valued learning and understood the importance of recognizing and celebrating the success of others, especially for students who faced difficulties, and with help, were able to overcome them.
