Offerdahl, William N.
Stoughton- William N. Offerdahl, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born in the Town of Dunn on June 6, 1920, a son of William O. and Nora (Olson) Offerdahl. He graduated from Stoughton High School in 1938. On February 5, 1944, he was united in marriage to Irene L. Juve. Together, they farmed for a number of years. Later, Bill worked for implement dealers and the Town of Dunn. He was a supervisor for 8 years and chairman for 2 years at the town. Bill had a great love and interest in cars and sold cars for at time at Matson Motors in Stoughton. He loved being out in nature, socializing with his coffee buddies at McDonald's and enjoyed visits from family and friends. Bill served on the Farm & Home administration for 3 years and was a member of Central Lutheran Church Council and a member of Covenant Lutheran Church. He is survived by a sister, Arlene (Lloyd) Iverson; brother-in-law, Marvel Zenke; sisters-in-law, Ardra Juve and Beverly Juve; nephew, Chuck (Laura) Iverson, niece, Nancy Webb; many nieces and nephews on Irene's side of the family, and a caring friend, Nancy Sisulak. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irene in 2007; and a brother, Roger.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Covenant Lutheran Church, 1525 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton, with Rev. George Carlson and Rev. Mark Petersen officiating. The family will greet friends at church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Special thanks to the staff of Agrace HospiceCare, Skaalen Home and Stoughton Hospital. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc.
