William Mickey

MADISON - William "Bill" L. Mickey, age 81, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Sunny Hill Health Care Center. He was born May 8, 1931 in Madison, the son of Anthony and Amalia (Schneider) Mickey. Bill graduated from East High and served in the US Army during the Korean War. Bill retired from the sheet metal department at the University of Wisconsin. Bill enjoyed nature which he and his wife could observe from their home overlooking the Arboretum. He liked to read and keep up with the news. Survivors include his loving wife, Irene; a sister, Sueann (Richard) Lerwick and a brother, Earl Nicholas Mickey. In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by his siblings, Jim, Tom, Bob, Jack, Dorothy, Jane, Lorraine, Leone, Sr. Clarice and Mary.
A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Rd. with a memorial service at 2:30 p.m.
