Mt. Horeb / Madison - William (Casey) P Louther Jr. passed away unexpectedly Thursday February 11th, 2016 at the age of 64 in his home. He died doing what he loved; working on plans for a building project.
Casey was born to William P. Louther and LaVonne E. (Allen) Louther on February 17th, 1951. Though born in Saginaw Michigan, Casey grew up in and loved the Madison area. He had fond memories of his family's restaurant Nob Hill and talked often of his friends and experiences in football and hammer throw at West High School. He received a scholarship for track (hammer throw) to Eastern Michigan University to study Architecture. When he returned to Madison he began building and designing homes, as well as creating a new style of furniture which he patented. Casey had an amazing talent for designing buildings. He loved coming up with new and innovative ways of doing things and was always thinking, designing and creating. Casey's gentle heart and a generous nature will be dearly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him.
Casey married the love of his life and soul mate Jeanne (Williams) Louther on June 17th, 2000 and loved spending time with her and their child, Toby Louther (Mt. Horeb). He was also the proud father of Kira Louther (Madison) and Whitney Louther (Madison). He was blessed with three grandchildren Ayla, Brody and Noah.
He is survived by his wife Jeanne, his children and grandchildren along with his mother LaVonne E. Louther, brothers Scott Louther (Madison), J. Michael (Linda) Louther (Mesa, AZ), Brian (Cynthia Tahtinen) Louther (Madison), sisters Debi (Dave) Haley (San Diego, CA), Mona (Kevin) Peirce (Madison), Toni (Casey) Cole (Madison), Marti (Rik) Adams-Louther and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father William P. Louther, sister Tamalyn and his grandparents.
Casey's wishes were to have a Celebration of Life instead of formal funeral services. The family would like to invite you to Gray's Tied House on Saturday February 20th, 2016 from Noon until 5:00pm. We will be dedicating time starting at 1:00 for people to tell stories and share memories. Please join us in saying good bye to our wonderful Casey.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the deceased's family.
