William Kinney

Waunakee - William A. 'Bill" Kinney, age 74, found his everlasting peace and rest on Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. Our dad is now reunited with our beloved mom in heaven along with all other family and friends who passed before him. He was born in Cambria, Wisconsin on December 13, 1943, the son of Everette and Margaret (Sosinski) Kinney. Bill was united in marriage to Marian Goetz on November 11, 1967, in Portage, Wisconsin. He entered the military on November 2, 1962, and retired in 1999 with the rank of Senior Master Sargent. Bill truly enjoyed his career and those he worked with. His love of airplanes was lifelong.

Bill had a small but close-knit family consisting of his wife, twin daughters, sons-in-law and four beautiful granddaughters of whom gave him great pride.

He is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Chris) Kinney-Hazard and Rochelle (Glenn) Zwieg; his grandchildren, Riley and Sydney Hazard and Gretchen and Emma Zwieg; a sister-in-law, Kathy Kinney; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Marian; and brothers, Michael and Steve Kinney.

A memorial service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Sunday, January 7, 2018, at 12:00 noon with Pastor Sandra Schieble officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Agrace HospiceCare or to the Alzheimers Research Association. The family wishes to thank the truly wonderful and caring staff at Agrace HospiceCare who showed such respect, compassion, and dignity for our dad.
