William Graff

William "Bud" Graff, age 85, passed away at his home on Sunday, January 11, 2015. He was born on September 17, 1929 in Junction City, son to Jerome and Ruby (Hessing) Graff. He was united in marriage to Evelyn Balczewski on December 1, 1951 in Birchwood, Wisconsin.

William graduated from Deforest High School, where he was a "Golden Gloves" Boxer. After graduation he served as a chief petty officer with the US Navy Reserves for over 30 years and worked for Icke Construction for 30 years. He was a long time resident of Token Creek , where he was a charter member of the Token Creek Yacht Club and Up/Down Stock Club. William was also a member of St. Olaf Catholic Church in Deforest. He enjoyed stock car racing, gardening and hunting.

William is survived by his wife of 63 years Evelyn; children Michael ( Stacia)Graff, Bill( Lynn) Graff, Lindee( Kelly) Kimball, John ( Penny) Graff and Thomas ( Kimberly) Graff; grandchildren Jess, Joseph, Taylor, Kai, Kirk, Keri, Jolinn, Daniell, Tia, Dillon and Devyn; great-grandchildren Autumn, Anthony and Silas; Sister Mary Ellen ( Hugo ) Tiedt, brother James ( Bea) Graff, sister Doris (Tom) Burdick and brother Ronald( Joyce) Graff; his in laws Roland ( Pat) Kading, Bob ( Gladys) Bookhout; Victor Balczewski; Joseph ( Kathy) Balczewski and Carol Balczewski. William was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Joe and Jerry, sister Dorothy Anhalt and Bernard Balczewski.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00am, Friday, January 16, 2014 at St. Olaf Catholic Church, 623 Jefferson Street, Deforest with Father Rob Butz presiding. A visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace in Sun Prairie and also from 10:00am until time of mass at the church on Friday.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Agrace HospiceCare or to a fund to be established at a later date.
