English, William H.

Janesville/Madison: William H. "Bill" English, age 87, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at home. He was born March 29, 1929 the son of Hazen and Elizabeth (Lawrence) English in Chicago, IL. Bill worked for many years as a teacher and administrator in Schools for the Visually Handicapped in Kentucky, Ohio, and Virginia. He retired as Superintendent of the Wisconsin School for the Visually Handicapped in Janesville in 1991. Bill was united in marriage to Janet E. Reinert July 19, 1952. They had 64 cherished years together. Janet passed away this past February. Bill is survived by his loving daughter, Betsy Forester, and cherished granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Megan. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at ASBURY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 6101 University Ave., Madison, WI 53705, with visitation from 2:00 pm until the time of service at the church. The family asks you honor Bill's love of all sports by wearing your Badger, Packer or Cubs wear for the memorial service. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in Bill's name to Asbury United Methodist Church, Sugar River United Methodist Church, or Agrace HospiceCare. Please share a memory.
