William Durkin

Middleton – William B. Durkin, of Middleton, WI, passed away on August 2, 2022. Bill had an amazingly strong spirit and heart. When he saw a need, he thoughtfully and generously found ways to help others any way he could. He is loved and treasured for his courage to live life his way, genuinely and true to his beliefs, with a gentle and kind honesty, wit, and loving care for others. Bill’s survivors include his loving sisters, Jamie, Mary (John) and Therese (Joe), nephew Glenn (fiance Casey) and his special friend Debbie Flynn.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 8, at 2 PM, at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to the Madison Community Policing Foundation, and will be dedicated to MCPF’s Community Reading Program, a summer tutoring program for economically disadvantaged youth, which exemplifies Bill’s spirit of life-long learning and support and tutoring of children in need.
