MIDDLETON/POMPANO BEACH, FL-Wilfred "Bing" Maly, age 96, of Middleton and Pompano Beach, FL, died on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at the Waunakee Manor Health Care Center. Bing was born on April 27, 1920, in Ashton to Peter and Mary (Bernards) Maly. Following graduation from Middleton High School, he served in World War II. On his birthday in 1948, he married Louise Dohm. Bing was employed at Oscar Mayer Foods until his retirement; and he and Louise retired to Florida while still spending time in Wisconsin during the summer months.
Survivors include his brother-in-law, Harvey Gudel and sister-in-law, Arlene (Joe) Collins. Over the years, he and his wife enjoyed the families of their 60 + nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Louise in 2014; three sisters, Sibylla Frisch, Sylvia Lange, and Marcella Gudel; and two brothers, Hubert and Leonard Maly.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St Bernard Catholic Church, 2015 Parmenter St., Middleton. Rev. Brian Wilk will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel. Entombment will take place at 2:30 p.m. at Resurrection Cemetery in Madison.
The family wishes to thank Cary Garlinghouse, Pompano Beach, for the love and care given to both Bing and Louise during their later years in Florida. She has been absolutely amazing.
The family would also like to thank the outstanding staff at the Waunakee Manor for all the special attention given not only to Bing, but also his family.
