Wayne Cors

Wayne E. Cors passed from this life on January 19th at the age of 77. Wayne was born on June 20, 1936 at Divine Savior Hospital in Portage. He was the son of Donald and Mildred Cors. He graduated from Portage High School in 1954 and the University of Wisconsin in January, 1959. He was married in April, 1959 to Sandra Kay Stillman in Appleton. He was employed by General Telephone as a administrator in the Madison General office for 10 years and then went to work for the University of Wisconsin as a data analyst in the Space Management Office. He worked for the UW for 17 years and then went to work for UW Hospital for 14 years and retired in February, 2000. He was preceded in death by his former wife Sandra. Wayne loved Harley Davidson motorcycles and rode up until a few years ago. He was a lifetime aviation enthusiast and attended the EAA convention in Oshkosh for many years. Wayne loved being with people and tended bar at the Farm Tavern in Madison for 20 years. He is survived by three sons, Craig Cors of McFarland, Wis., Bret Cors of McFarland and Kirk Cors of Stoughton, WI. He had one grandchild Jonathan. He is also survived by his brother, Ken Cors of Sauk Prairie, WI. He was preceded in death by a sister, Arlene Hutler and Brother Russ Cors, both of Portage, WI. A memorial service will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 5801 Hwy 51 McFarland, WI on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
