Walter "Wally" John Miller

Walter (Wally) John Miller, born in Vienna Township in 1939, the son of Carl and Eda (Ripp) Miller passed away on July 17, 2023.

Wally married the love of his life Patricia A. Hetzel in 1963.  Together they raised four children, Carolyn Volk, Nancy Galindo, John (Toni), and Todd (Hillary Latham).  They were also grandparents to seven grandchildren, Alex (Danneka) Halverson, Annesett and Savana Taylor, Dana and Josh Miller and Sophie and Michaela Volk.  Wally also had 3 great-grands,  Zoe and Matthew Halverson and Luna Taylor. Wally was so proud of and enjoyed spending time with each grandchild.

Wally worked at Webcrafters for 40 years and then in his retirement enjoyed baking chocolate zucchini bread and cookies.  He also did the surging on fleece blankets. Many people enjoyed his wonderful baked treats and were warmed by the fleece blankets.

Wally  was a wonderful husband, father, and friend to all.  Besides his wife, children and grandchildren, Wally is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Ewing  and Bette Miller and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Raymond and Jerome, and a sister Rosemary Ballweg. He was also preceded in death by in-laws Alois and Clara Hetzel and brothers in-law Francis Hetzel, Ted Hetzel, Robert Hetzel, Val Hetzel and Jim Hetzel.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Albert the Great in Sun Prairie at 11:00 am preceded by a visitation starting at 10:00 am. on Friday, July 28^th. Following the ceremony, lunch will be served at Rex’s Innkeeper.   A private family burial will take place at a later date.
