Walter Prohovnik

McFarland- Walter A. Prohovnik, age 75, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at his home. He was born in Cable on October 15, 1938, the son of Walter and Helen Prohovnik. Walter was a member of the National Guard. He worked as a station manager for Northwest Airlines for many years. Walter enjoyed hunting and fishing up north with his many friends. He was always tinkering, especially in his garden. Walter is survived by his daughter, Debra; Debra's mother, Patricia; siblings, Thomas, Mary Ann and Patricia; many nieces and nephews; and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5:00 pm until 7:00pm on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Cress Funeral Home in McFarland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society.
