Walt Moscrip

MADISON - Walter D. "Walt" Moscrip, age 65, passed away on Thursday Dec. 24, 2015 at Meriter Hospital. Walt was born Dec. 31, 1949 in Cedar Rapids, IA., the son of Walter and Kathyrn (Kacer) Moscrip. He married Diane Theresa Pritzl in Rock Island, IL. He had a full and happy life and was able to spend many years with his wife and best friend Diane who passed away in 2012. "We will be joining her mom and we will be together forever."
Walt is a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. He was employed as a chef for many years at the corporate office of Famous Footwear and later at Oakwood West. Walt loved reading, cooking and baking. Watching old movies and learning about history were things that Walt enjoyed.
Walt is survived by his daughter Amber (Brian Makuski) Moscrip; his father Walter "Bud" (Mary) Moscrip, and his mother Katherine (Fred) Schindler; brother Karl (Kathy) Moscrip; sister Kim Moscrip; and other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his long haired Chihuahua Magic.
He is preceded in death by his wife Diane Moscrip.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. "Dad, you are always in my heart, I will love you and miss you forever" -Amber.
