Vivian Kippert

Madison - Vivian A. Kippert died on Wed. Oct. 31, 2012. She was born in Marshfield, Wisc. On May 10, 1930. Vivian attended the Marshfield schools and graduated from Marshfield Senior High in 1948. She was married to the late Jerry Hansen for 30 years and had two daughters Toni (Dean) Johnson and Amy (Jon) Cottom. While still in Marshfield she was employed at the Chamber of Commerce. In 1987 she moved to Madison where she was employed by the Wisconsin Insurance Alliance until her retirement. In 1992 she married Jack Kippert of Madison.
She is survived by her husband, Jack; her daughters, Toni and Amy and her stepchildren, Kathy (Dan) Schmudlach, Mike Kippert, David (Jo) Kippert and Dan Kippert. She has two grandchildren, Michael and Katy; five step-grandchildren, Jered, Ben, Molly, Cady and Kelsy and a great-grandson, Henry Schmudlach.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Middleton Village Nursing Home staff and patients, especially Nancy Foye who was Vivian's former roommate, and Agrace HospiceCare for their kind and loving care of Vivian.
Memorials are requested to the Dane County Humane Society.
There will be a Memorial Service on Sat. Nov. 3, 2012 at 3:00 p. m. at CRESS FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICE, 3610 Speedway Road, with Fr. John Nellissery presiding. There will be a visitation from 2:00 p. m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
