Virginia Vike

Stoughton - Virginia Ann "Ginny" Vike, age 76 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 26, 2013. She was born in Stoughton on March 11, 1937, one of fifteen children, to Henry and Olivia (Offerdahl) Leikness.

Ginny was a lifelong resident of Stoughton. She was head waitress at Halverson's Restaurant for over 20 years before pursuing and obtaining her GED from MATC in 1985. At that time she began her career with the Department of Transportation until retiring. She enjoyed playing Bingo, playing Skip-Bo with her grandkids, and shaking dice with her sister, Bev. She also was an over-the-top Packer, Badger and Brewer fan, who also loved NASCAR and Dale Jr.

Ginny will be missed by her children: Norman (Sherry), Norma, Bob, Jeff (Pam), Bill (Sharon), Chad (Wendy) and Randy (Donna); grandchildren, Kelsey, Jared, Trevor, Angela, Melissa, Christopher, Eric, Ryan, Bobby, Broc, Bryce, Abby, Cody, and Austin; great-grandchildren, Chassidy, Zachary, Spencer, and Antonio; siblings, Steve (Cindy), Jimmy (Louise) Leikness, Louise Femrite, Beverly (Bill) Hefty, Sue Foye, Cathy Jacobs, Phyllis Porod, and Linda (Bill) Olson; also many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Phillip, Florence Sproul, Helen Croft, Freddy, Donny and Henry Jr. (Sonny); and brother-in-law, Bob Femrite.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, December 2, 2013 at Cress Funeral Home, Stoughton with Reverend Mark Petersen officiating. Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
