Virginia Sabin

WAUNAKEE- Virginia "Ginny" Diane (Ikeman) Sabin, age 65 of Waunakee, WI passed away April 23rd 2015 at her home.
She was born on August 21st 1949 in Beloit WI, the daughter of Frank and Margaret Ikeman. Ginny graduated from Beloit Catholic High School and then UW-Eau Claire with her teaching degree. She then taught grade school in Eau Claire and Alexandria, VA. Ginny recently retired from Great Lakes Higher Education in Madison. She was active in 4H as a young adult and an avid reader and gardener in her recent years.
Survivors include her children Elizabeth (Ryan) Roh, Ryan (Kristen) Sabin, her parents, her brothers Tom (Kathy) Ikeman, Frank Ikeman, sisters Sara Ikeman-Crowley, Mary (Steven) Solomon, her grandchildren Maggie, Kate, Will, and Hadley, and her nephews Tim (Amanda) Ikeman, and Chris (Natalie) Ikeman.
She was preceded in death by her brother James Ikeman.
Funeral services will be held on Monday April 27th at 2p.m. at WINN-CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5785 HWY Q, Waunakee. A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research in Madison.
