Virginia R. Nelson

Virginia Rose Nelson, age 100, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010 at Skaalen Home in Stoughton.   She was born on March 22, 1909 to George and Bertha (Schultz) Schimming.   Virginia lived in Madison with her husband Bob, where she dedicated her time and enjoyed taking care of foster children.   Virginia & Bob moved to Stoughton in the mid-seventies.   She loved dancing, playing cards, crocheting and spending time with family.   Virginia brought love and laughter to those who knew her and she will be greatly missed.   Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Nelson and a grandson.   She is survived by her daughters, Jean (Roland) Smith of Stoughton and Beverly (John) Bluel of Madison; a son, Bernard (Cindy) of Stoughton; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.   A private Celebration of Life, honoring Virginia, will be held with immediate family.
