Vincent Sexton

Madison - Vincent ("Vince" and, to his friends, "Vinny") Frederick Sexton of Madison, born October 19, 1951, passed away on March 19, 2017, in his Madison home. His parents were Austin Rigney, Helen Shannon, and his adoptive father, Thomas Sexton. After serving in the Vietnam War, Vince worked in the commodities industry before moving into the restaurant industry. He was an avid motorcyclist and sports fan, and, earlier in life, a dedicated martial artist.

He is survived by his son, Anthony Sexton; his sister, Pat Hagen; many nieces, nephews, and more distant family members; his son's grandfather, Brant Abrahamson; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Mary Helen McCarthy, Maureen Esser, and Therese Carrick; his brothers, Austin Sexton and John Sexton; and his former wife, Tanya Abrahamson.

A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison, on Monday, March 27, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to DAV Charitable Trust, 3725 Alexandria Pike, Cold Springs, Kentucky, 41076.
