Waunakee- Vincent F. Maier, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. He was born on November 9, 1926 in Waunakee to Mathias and Susan (Maerz) Maier. Vincent was a graduate of St. John's Catholic school. He enjoyed working as a farmhand and helping out neighboring farms. He also enjoyed working for Oscar Mayer, Madison Silo Company, Del Monte and Waunakee Canning Factory. Vincent could come across rough but he was actually quite a teddy bear.

He is survived by his sisters, Bertilla Wagner, Evelyn Pate and Marlene Mack; brothers Andrew ( Ruth), Ralph and Kenneth ( Connie) Maier; sister in laws Roscile , Doris, Beverly and brother in law Wayne Moore and many nieces and nephews.

Vincent was preceded in death by his sister, Dolores; and six brothers Wilbert, Donald, Earl, James, Bernard and Joseph; brother in laws Joseph Wagner, Sam Pate and Ken Mack.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016, at 11:00 am at St. John's Catholic Church, 209 South St., Waunakee with Monsignor James Gunn presiding.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
