Vincent J. Endres

Waunakee - Vincent Joseph Endres, age 82, passed away on January 21, 2010, at the Waunakee Manor Health Care Center, having never recovered from a fall 2 years earlier. Vincent was born February 13, 1927 to Helen Becker and Louis Endres in Waunakee, WI, the sixth of eleven children.

 

Vincent met his future wife, Mary Joan Brinkman, on a blind date in 1949. They were married in 1952 and purchased the family farm. They operated the family farm while raising six daughters.

 

Vince was an extremely hard working man, deeply religious and had unconditional love for his family. He loved euchre, solo, baseball and football.

 

After selling the family farm, they moved into the Village of Waunakee. He worked several jobs and being a crossing guard was the one he found most rewarding. He greeted everyone he met. He loved to garden and to raise roses of all colors.

 

Vince is survived by six daughters - Mary (Fred) Laufenberg; Lucy Endres; Nancy (Terry) Hill; Karen (Dan) Stien; Janice (Patrick) Faust and Kari (Billy) Morgan, eight grandchildren -- Kim and Kurt Laufenberg; Katie Compton; Naomi, Christopher and Lucas Huesmann; Alva Fuller and Holly (Joshua) DuMond. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joan, his grandchildren Laurie Fuller and Jason Laufenberg.

 

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 25, 2010 from 3:00 until 6:00 pm at St. John's Catholic Church. A Mass will be held Tuesday, at 11:00 am, with visitation at 10:00. Monsignor Gunn will be celebrating the Mass.
