Anthony “Tony” James Bormett, age 34, passed away unexpectedly just days before his birthday on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. He was born on October 30, 1986, at St. Mary’s Hospital, son of Thomas Anthony Bormett and Sharon (Bitney) Bormett.

Tony graduated from Madison East High School in 2005. He was a gifted athlete and played many sports in his youth including football, baseball and hockey.  In adulthood he enjoyed playing roller hockey and ice hockey.  He loved the outdoors, especially hiking at Devils Lake and camping on the Wisconsin river. He was a Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan and loved going to Brewer’s games with his friends.  Tony was a tile setter for Maly Flooring. He adored his two nephews and will be remembered for his love of family and friends.

Tony is survived by his parents Sharon (Andrew Sykes) Bormett and Tom (Jacquie) Bormett; brothers Derek (Alison) Sykes and Dylan Bormett, sister Jeana Bormett; maternal grandmother Shirley Bitney, grandmother Elizabeth Sykes and nephews Blake and Easton Sykes. He also leaves behind many extended family.

Tony was preceded in death by maternal grandfather James Bitney, paternal grandparents Rosemary and Albert Bormett, aunt Rita Bormett, uncle Steve Bitney, cousin Christine Bitney, grandparents Sigrid and John Mueller and William Sykes.

Funeral services will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 East Washington Ave, Madison on Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
