Celebrating the Life of Timothy E. “Tim” Stevenson

Timothy E. “Tim” Stevenson, 68, of Waunakee, Wisconsin, passed away on November 22, 2025, in Fitchburg, Wisconsin, after bravely facing a short battle with cancer. His time with us ended far too soon, but the love he gave and the impact he made will be remembered always.

Tim was born on April 7, 1957, in LaSalle, Illinois, and raised in the close-knit community of Waltham Township. He was the son of Glenn and Dorothy (Lushina) Stevenson, who continue to hold him dearly in their hearts. After graduating from LaSalle-Peru High School in 1975, he went on to study at Northeast Missouri State University.

In 2001, Tim married Carol, and together they built a life rooted in partnership, laughter, and devotion to family. Tim took tremendous pride in being a dad to his daughter, Erin (Adam) Fisk of Waunakee, WI. He also warmly embraced his stepchildren, Kristi (Shawn) Newell and Daniel (Tracy) Delmore of Wisconsin Dells, WI, forming bonds that meant the world to him.

Tim’s professional achievements were a significant part of his life story. He was never afraid of hard work, a value shaped early through masonry, construction, and farming with his brother. In 1983, he helped launch the Missouri Potato Company, marking the beginning of a lifelong career in agriculture. His path later led him to co-found Heartland Farms in Hancock, WI, in 1990. As Marketing Manager, he poured his energy into helping the company grow into a nationally recognized leader in potato production. He earned admiration for his no-nonsense approach, sharp business instincts, and fairness in all negotiations.

Away from work, Tim’s greatest delight was simply spending time with those he loved. Whether attending Erin’s dance recitals, cheering Gavin and Tyler along in their Taekwondo competitions, collecting his beloved Toyota Land Cruisers, or enjoying competitive shooting, he found joy in both action and connection. His presence lifted moments into memories.

Tim leaves behind many who loved him deeply: his wife, Carol; his daughter and stepchildren; and his grandchildren — Mara Newell, Breanna Delmore, Tyler Fisk, and Gavin Fisk — who brought him endless pride. He is also survived by his siblings, Christie Stevenson of Flatwoods, KY; Tom (Michelle) Stevenson of Peru, IL; and Cindy Picco of Middlebury, IN; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family on both sides.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Timothy Douglas Fisk, brothers-in-law, John Picco and Roger Coleman, and by his grandparents, Robert and Mabel Stevenson and Ludwig and Anna Lushina.

Those who knew Tim will remember the strength of his character: steady, loyal, hardworking, and quick with a quiet, witty remark. He loved deeply and gave generously qualities that shaped the lives of everyone fortunate enough to be part of his world.

Although his absence is deeply felt, his legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the countless lives he touched.

Honoring Tim’s wishes, he was cremated, and no formal funeral service will take place. The family will celebrate his life privately.

Please share your memories of Tim by posting in his Guestbook.
