Timothy Schultz

With hearts full of sorrow, we sadly announce that Timothy J Schultz, age 71, of Waunakee, a devoted husband, father, and grandpa passed away peacefully after his courageous battle with CMML Leukemia on Tuesday, August 18th, 2026, at UW Hospital surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on November 10th, 1954, to Joseph and Nancy Schultz and he graduated Turner High School (Beloit, WI) in 1972.

In 1975 he married Cynthia (Ramquist), his loving wife of 51 years. His career was being a Machinist for 11 years at Gardner Machine Co. (Beloit) and ended with 30 years at Nord Gear Corporation (Waunakee). He enjoyed spending as much time as he could spoiling his granddaughters and being their confidant, traveling and cruising the world with his wife, visiting casinos with friends, hunting, fishing, gardening, and bowling.

Those who knew him best, remember him for his gentle kindness, compassion, and friendship. He is survived by his wife, sons Nicholas (Elizabeth) and Adam (Sara), Granddaughters Larissa and Adalynn, Brothers Brian and Paul, several brother and sister in laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special lifelong friend Wayne Drye.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Mike, Grandparents, Father in-law Carl Ramquist (Sandra), and Mother in-law Judith Simpson.

Tim’s family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the Red Cross and the anonymous blood and platelet donors whose selfless gifts gave him extra precious time and strength that kept him in the fight. The family would also like to express their deepest gratitude to the compassionate nurses at the UW Hospital for their incredible care and comfort throughout his fight and during his final days.

A visitation will take place at the Winn-Cress funeral home in Waunakee on Thursday September 3rd from 10:00 am until the time of memorial service. Memorial services will begin at 12:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of life luncheon at the Waun-A-Bowl in Waunakee WI.
