Timothy Lauersdorf

FITCHBURG - Timothy D. "Tim" Lauersdorf, age 43, passed away after a 2 year battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Tim was born on June 7, 1974 in Madison to Al and Nancy (Driewer) Lauersdorf. He is a 1992 graduate of York Community High School in Elmhurst, IL. He graduated from the College of DuPage in 1995 and went on to the University of Wisconsin-Madison graduating in 2000. He worked as a pharmacy tech at the UW Hospital, and later managed GameStop stores. For the past 14 years, Tim worked as a project manager at Epic in Verona.
Tim loved watching sports, especially UW athletics, and was a stockholder in the Green Bay Packers. He enjoyed playing softball, spending time with his dogs, his yearly trip to Las Vegas during March Madness, working on the house and yard, playing computer games, and fishing.
Tim is survived by his fiancée Katie Tremble; parents Al and Nancy Lauersdorf; 3 brothers Matthew (Victoria), Eric, and Andrew (Janis Puracal) Lauersdorf; nieces Olivia, Trinity, Laura, and many other nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. He is also survived by his beloved dogs Fenrir, Bella, and Harper.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ferd and Edna Lauersdorf, Bud and Shirley Driewer, sister Wendy Jo DeGennaro, and nephew Chris DeGennaro.
A funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Sat June 9, 2018 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 5801 Hwy 51, McFarland. Burial will follow at Oak Hall Cemetery in Fitchburg. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Fri June 8, 2018 at the funeral home, and also from 10:00 AM until the time of the service on Sat at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, UW Carbone Cancer Center, or Fetch Wisconsin Rescue.
