Rev. Timothy James Kielley, age 48, of Littlestown, PA passed away unexpectedly due to surgical complications on December 29, 2016 at Hershey Medical Center, PA. Liz, his loving wife of 25 years, was by his side.
Pastor Tim was born on April 15, 1968 in La Crosse, WI. He was the son of Michael (Susan) Kielley of Bagley, WI, and Deborah (Bob) Evans of Peoria, AZ. He grew up in Sun Prairie and graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1986. At SPHS Tim discovered theatre and drama becoming involved with plays and musicals. Also at SPHS some lifelong friendships ignited and deeply impacted his life. Tim attended Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. After graduating college, he headed to Gettysburg Lutheran Theological Seminary to pursue his true passion and calling to serve the Lord. On June 12, 1993, his calling became official when Pastor Tim became an ordained Lutheran minister. He proudly served several churches out east after his ordination. Pastor Tim's greatest accomplishment was founding New Hope Faith Community Church in Hanover, PA In 2010. He loved golfing, working with youth, teaching bible study and leading worship. He was a member of several local clubs and organizations that amplified his work within the community.
In addition to his wife and parents, surviving Pastor Tim are his maternal grandparents, John and Lila Cadwell of Scottsdale, AZ; his younger brother, Todd (Michelle) Kielley of Glen Haven WI, and younger sister, Tobi Kielley (Spatola) of Sun Prairie, WI. In addition, his adoring nieces and nephews, Heather and Sydney Anne Spatola; Montanna and Brody Kielley; Peyton, Avery, Maddie and Tommy Youse.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Floyd and Anne Kielley.
A funeral service will be held at BRISTOL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 6835 County Hwy N, Sun Prairie on Saturday, January 7, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Rick Reiten officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona. A visitation will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on January 6, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and at church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Pastor Tim was an avid Packer fan. To honor him in a way he would of enjoyed, please wear your favorite Packer attire.
