Timoteo Galvez

Timoteo L. Galvez MD passed away on 4 May, 2017 at the age of 80 in Madison, Wisconsin. He was born on 6 January, 1937 in Manila, Philippines the first son of Dr. Bruno and Inez Galvez. He grew up in his mother's hometown of Zamboanga, Philippines. He married Marylou Reyes on 24 March, 1962 in Manila, Philippines. Tim was educated in the Philippines at Ateneo by Jesuit priests and at the University of the East where he received his Doctor of Medicine specializing in Anesthesiology. Tim also practiced Acupuncture which he studied in China, and Homeopathy which he studied in Germany. Along with having a deep Catholic faith, Tim had a passion to play the piano, to play golf, and to complete crossword puzzles.

Tim is survived by his loving family: his wife Marylou, his son James and his wife Kathleen Martin, his daughter Inez Bernadette and her husband Matt Schwister, his son Timothy and his wife Kathy (Gehri), and his daughter Gayle. He was preceded in death by his younger brothers Gregorio Galvez DMD and Jose Galvez DMD. We will gather to celebrate Tim's life on Wednesday, 10 May at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison. Visitation will start at 9am. A full mass will be celebrated at 11am. The interment will follow mass at Resurrection Cemetery at 3602 Hillcrest Drive.

A loving person and great healer, Tim will be dearly missed.
