Thomas Valley

MADISON--Thomas “Tom” Elliott Valley, age 68, passed away early Thursday, July 7, 2022 in the presence of family at Agrace Hospice in Janesville.

Tom was born to Cyril and Elizabeth (Elliott) Valley (deceased) in Prairie du Chien. The family of ten moved to Madison, where he grew up. After high school, he chose to enlist in the military. Tom served in the Navy from Oct 1972 to Aug 1976 and the Wisconsin Army National Guard from 1982 to 1986. Post service he was skilled in various building trades and co-owned a remodeling and roofing business.

Tom had romanced and married Nancy Schmit (deceased). They had four daughters: Jaime, Nicole, Angelique, and Therese and made Deforest their home. After they divorced, Tom moved back to Madison, to which he felt very connected. He eventually met his soulmate, Lorna Hill. Tom and Lorna shared a fun-loving adventurous spirit and spent many years traveling and making memories with Lorna’s children: Adam, Carmen and Bridgette until Lorna sadly passed in 2018.

Tom will be lovingly remembered by his family;  brothers and sisters: Jane (Clem) Steele, Karen (Steve) Clark, Jim (Patricia) Valley, Jill (Tom) Geier, Joni (Tom) Aeschbach, Susan (Dennis) Grosse, Jeff (Deb) Valley; Children: Jaime (Adam) Montanye, Nicole (Andy) Vanko, Angelique (Christopher) Hebbe, Therese (Neil) Rowe, Adam (Jessica) Juno, Carmen (Steven) Travali, Bridgette (Travis) Talley, Grandchildren: Rozlyn, Lydia, Evan, Adeline, Isla, Anneliese, Ari, Ava, Ezra, Alayna, Presley, Decker, Tradell, Khaleesi, Lyric, Tenecia.

Visitation will be from 10-11:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Cress Funeral Service, SUN PRAIRIE, with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 am.  Full military honors will immediately follow the memorial service.
