Madison/Sun Lakes, AZ - Thomas F. Raemisch, age 76, son of Gerald and Catherine (Kalscheur) Raemisch, died on Friday, March 8, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ. Tom was born on May 11, 1936 and was a good 'ole Waunakee boy. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated in 1958 from Business Finance. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was married in 1959 to his high school sweetheart, Rosanne Botham. He and his brother, Jerry, took on the family road construction business of F.C. Raemisch and Son, Inc. Tom was active in and served as president at both the local level with the Wisconsin Transportation Builders Association, and nationally was president of the contractors division of ARTBA. He also served on the Public Works Commission and on the Jaycees. Tom was an avid sports enthusiast both as the player and spectator. He was the quarterback of the first undefeated Waunakee Warrior football team. He liked to consider himself as "All Village". Tom loved racquetball and after he retired took up golf, and traveled the world with his wife, Rosanne. He was an avid Packer and Badger fan, and loved to talk sports with anyone who would listen. Tom was devoted to his wife, kids, and grandkids. He is survived by his wife Rosanne, and his six children: Mike (Sarah Loock) Logan, Hunter and Mary; James (Melanie Stevens) Taylor and Abby; Stephen (Christina Hunt) Eliana, Jonathan, Maxwell, Victoria and Reagan; Susan (Bryan) Van Horn, Julia, Megan and Sarah; Jill (Michael) Carr, Nickolas, Katherine, and Lucas; and Thomas II(Kimberly Armbruster) Thomas III, Emma and Grace. He is also survived by his sister, Sandra Kaufmann and brother, Gerald Raemisch.. A visitation will be held at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 County Road Q, Waunakee, on Thurs., March 14, 2013 from 4:00 -7:00 pm. A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with funeral following at 11:00 am at Saint Thomas Aquinas, 602 Everglade Drive, Madison, on Friday, March 15, 2013. Burial will take place in Resurrection Cemetery with full military honors provided by American Legion Post 360 Honors Unit. In lieu of flowers a memorial will be designated by the family at a later date.
