Hunt, Thomas James, age 65 died on Sunday, February 2, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital after a courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). He was born on August 14, 1948 in Madison to Ermil and La Vonne(McDowell) Hunt.
Tom graduated from Lafollette High School in 1966. After he graduated high school he became a sheet metal worker and worked for several different companies over the years .He loved going to his cabin by Westfield, playing cards and dancing at the VFW.

Tom will be dearly missed by his sons Kevin( Karen) and granddaughters Sky and Jewel Hunt; Chad( Marie) and granddaughters Lauren and Taylor Hunt; brother Terry Hunt of Mesa, AZ and sister Patty Ortel of Everett, WA; Tom also leaves behind his godchildren Kimberly, Christopher and Amanda Klinkner; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

A funeral service for Tom will be held 12:00pm, Thursday, February 6, 2014 at Cress Funeral Home 3325 East Washington, Madison. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to the ALS Association- Wisconsin Chapter.

Special thank you to 7SW staff at St. Mary's Hospital for their compassionate care of Tom. Also very special thanks to Delores Foulk and her daughters, Debbie and Sherry for all they have done for Tom in his final years. Lastly, the family would like to thank Tom's uncle Jim Klinkner for being like a brother to Tom and giving him his love and support.
