Thomas Gassen Sr.

Madison - Thomas J. Gassen Sr., age 63 passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at his home. He was born on September 6, 1950 in Madison, the son of Frank and Ruth Gassen. United in marriage in May of 1970 to Frances M. Gassen. They were married over 30 years before she passed in 2003.
For over 40 years, Thomas worked as an assembler for SubZero Company until his retirement this year in June. Sub Zero and the friends he made there we know were very important to him. He took a lot of pride in his work and made sure his family was taken care of.
Thomas is survived by his brother David Gassen. His two children; Tina Gassen, Thomas J Gassen Jr. , his daughter in law Bridget Gassen and his 3 grandchildren Cameron, Jacob and Bella.

Our dad loved golf, hunting, fishing, and was a world class slot machine whisperer. Seriously the only person I know that could sit down and win almost every time. This summer we got to take a bunch of trips. We went to New Orleans, Vegas, and Chicago. We had so much fun and I am so grateful I got to spend that time with him.
My Brother T.J said he will miss golfing, hunting and fishing with my Dad the most. They had so many great times doing those things together.

Funeral services will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 6:00 pm with Reverend David Mack officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00pm until the time of services. Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 10:00 am.
