Springdale - Thomas E. "Chip" Johnson Jr., age 52, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at Meriter Hospital in Madison. He was born June 12, 1959 to Thomas E. and Margaret H. (Williams) Johnson Sr. in Lebanon, Kentucky. Chip has been fortunate to travel and live in many cities over the years, among them attending school in Coolidge, Arizona and graduating high school in Edinburgh, Scotland. He spent 10 years working off shore in the Gulf of Mexico, before attending DeVry University in Phoenix. Following DeVry University, Chip began working at Nicolet in Florida and transferring to Madison/Middleton, and this June would have been his 23rd year with Nicolet. Chip enjoyed golf, working on his 1951 Willy's Jeep with his father, being a hole digger on gardening projects, and traveling the world. Chip is survived by his wife, Corinne; his parents of Springfield, Kentucky; a sister, Karen (John) Lawrie of Maple Grove, Minnesota; a brother, Jack (Val) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; a niece, Christy Lawrie Kooyer (Andy); two nephews, Stuart Lawrie (Missy Vadnais) and Andrew Lawrie; a great niece, Olivia Lawrie; and "My Boy", Porter. A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, with a visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
